The composer of the book 'The Law before the Court' is a Judicial Officer making his maiden contribution in English. This work is presented to those seeking a profound grasp of legalconcepts, presented in clear, accessible language while maintaining high intellectual standards.

Having 13 years of experience as a Magistrate/District Judge across the country, he entered the judiciary after a completing a 7- Year period of practice at the Bar under the guidance and mentorship of Senior Attorney at Law, Mr. Varuna Senadhira.

Additionally, he holds a degree in Management Studies and Commerce from the University of Sri Jayawardenapura and is an alumnus of

Ananda College, Colombo.

Prior to this publication, he authored three books in Sinhala, responding to numerous requests.

He has now brought his expertise in English with a view of sharing more knowledge-filled work for the benefit of a larger circle of the legal fraternity.
